Bringing HOPE to the people

Temba Community Development Services is a Faith Based Organisation, which originated in King Sabata Dalindyebo Local Municipality, O.R.Tambo District Municipality, in east of the Eastern Cape Province in South Africa, which was founded in 1999.
Temba was initially involved in poverty alleviation programmes, e.g. Tender Advisory Services, Training of Women in Projects and assisting Communities in their own projects (helping them with proposal writing and business plans). After being confronted by hard reality of HIV/AIDS, and continuous plea made by the Communities to be assisted in this regard, a decision was taken to divert it efforts and focus on assisting Communities affected by HIV/AIDS, and other social ills, including Gender Based Violence which exacerbate HIV/AIDS.
The Resource Centre and offices are located in the town of Umtata (Mthatha) in the Eastern Cape, South Africa
